Institutional Research

The primary goal of the Institutional Research at UNCP is to aid in the accountability of University of North Carolina Pembroke to its constituents, both internal and external.  This is accomplished through collection, analysis and reporting of data and information in order to measure the progress of the university in carrying out assigned functions and services. The goal is to provide the baseline data to inform decision-making and planning.

The document posted here is The University of North Carolina at Pembroke's most recent Common Data Set (CDS). The CDS initiative is defined by its organizers as "a collaborative effort between publishers and the educational community to improve the quality and consistency of information reported by college and university officials and to reduce the burden of compiling such information which is used in guide books." More information on the CDS can be found at www.commondataset.org.

The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) is designed to measure faculty expectations for and observations of student engagement in educational practices that are known to be empirically linked with high levels of learning and development. These pdf documents provide respondent characteristics and item frequencies for faculty at UNCP who took the survey in 2008 and 2016 as well as comparisons between faculty and student respondents on like items.
