The UNC Military Equivalency System helps you see how your military experience — documented on your Joint Services Transcript (JST) — may translate into academic credit across the 16 UNC System universities, including UNCP. Military Spouse Tuition Assistance

Military spouses may be eligible for up to $4,000 in tuition assistance through the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship Program. UNCP offers fully online, career-focused training programs through our partnership with ed2go — designed to help you earn a certificate, license or associate degree in high-demand, portable career fields. Our expert-led courses are flexible, supportive and built for your success.

Green to Gold Program

The Green to Gold program provides eligible Army enlisted soldiers an opportunity to complete their first Baccalaureate or Master’s degree. Upon earning a degree, the soldier is commissioned as an officer in the US Army.

Application Fee Waiver

At UNC Pembroke, we’re proud to support those who serve. Active-duty service members, veterans, reservists and National Guard members are eligible for an application fee waiver when applying to our undergraduate or graduate programs.

To receive your waiver, simply submit your LES or DD-214 to the appropriate admissions office. It’s our way of saying thank you —and making your next mission even more accessible.

An in-state tuition waiver is available for non-resident active-duty service members assigned to a duty station in North Carolina. Non-resident veterans, eligible spouses or dependents utilizing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits are eligible for in-state tuition consideration if they have been awarded and use VA educational benefits at UNCP. You must be using VA education benefits to qualify for the waiver.
