Jesse McQueen is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He earned both his B.A. in Criminal Justice (1999) and Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice (2009) from UNCP.

Mr. McQueen teaches a wide variety of courses including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminology, Police in Society, Ethics, Juvenile Justice, Criminal Law and Procedure, Human Trafficking, Criminal Profiling, Life Course Criminology and many others. He has served as a sworn law enforcement officer since December 1991 and received the North Carolina Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate in 1999.

His training includes criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, interaction management, domestic violence response, bio-terrorism preparedness, supervision and use of force. He also serves as the faculty adviser for the Criminal Justice Club and as the interim coordinator for the Terrorism Minor.
