Braves Got Talent Showcase debuts at Homecoming 2025

UNC Pembroke is rolling out the gold carpet for the first-ever Braves Got Talent showcase, a highlight of this year’s Homecoming celebration.

The event will be held Saturday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Givens Performing Arts Center and will spotlight the talent of UNCP students and alumni in a fun competition format.

Winners will receive $5,000 each for top student and alumni acts, with $2,500 awarded for second place and $1,000 for third.

"Braves Got Talent will showcase the most creative and talented of BraveNation," said Dr. Rebekah Revels Lowry, director of Alumni Affairs. "We’re excited to welcome alumni back home and share the stage with our students."

Auditions are open now through September 12 for currently enrolled students in good academic standing and alumni from any graduation year or location. Solo and group acts are welcome. Finalists will be selected by a review committee and notified by September 25.

Although faculty, staff and community members are not eligible to perform, they are warmly invited to attend and cheer on students and alumni. Stay tuned to Alumni Affairs’ official channels for updates on judges, hosts and special performances.

• UNCP students receive free admission with a valid BraveCard.
• Alumni tickets: $5
• General admission: $15
• Children under 12: free
