UNC Pembroke celebrates International Education Week, Nov. 17–21

UNC Pembroke will join institutions worldwide in celebrating International Education Week (IEW), Nov. 17-21, 2025. The weeklong series of 16 events will highlight global awareness, cultural exchange and the value of international education.
More than 260 international students from over 60 nations and every continent enrich the UNCP campus with diverse languages, perspectives and traditions. The university lives the spirit of International Education Week year-round, fostering a community where global experiences are embraced and celebrated.
“International Education Week reflects UNCP’s commitment to preparing students to thrive in a global society,” said Rosa Ball, assistant director of international student engagement. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate our welcoming campus community and the many cultures represented here.”
Students are encouraged to pick up a “Global Passport” at any live event and collect a stamp at each event they attend. Students who collect six stamps will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Completed passports must be dropped off at the Office of Global Engagement (Belk Hall, Room 102) by December 5, and the winner will be announced on December 8.
All students who complete their passports will receive a participation prize of UNCP merchandise. The grand prize includes a Study Abroad application fee waiver, a BraveVentures deposit waiver and an OGE T-shirt.
IEW 2025 is coordinated by the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) in collaboration with campus partners, including the Muslim Student Association, Caribbean Student Union, Asian Student Association, Career Center, Graduate Admissions, Psychology Department, Athletics and BraveVentures.
