Bodies of Governance - UNC Pembroke

Learn about UNC Pembroke's governance framework, where collaborative decision-making bodies guide our academic and administrative direction.

Leading Through Partnership

UNC Pembroke's governance and advisory structure includes key bodies that support the university's mission through leadership, advocacy, policy-making and staff and faculty representation. From the Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors to the Faculty and Staff Senates, each group plays a vital role in shaping campus life and institutional direction. University committees and clearly defined policies further support effective decision-making and ensure transparency, collaboration and accountability across all areas of the institution.

Staff Senate

It provides a forum for discussing workplace concerns, recommends policy improvements, and serves in an advisory role to the Chancellor. The Senate also connects UNCP staff to the UNC Staff Assembly and offers opportunities for involvement through events, service, recognition programs and governance participation.

University Policies

UNCP is committed to providing information related to its administration and operations in a manner that is clear, concise, organized, accessible and current. To that end, UNCP has a cataloging system for the identification and classification of its policies and regulations. This system provides ease of use to students, faculty, and staff as well as others such as potential students and employees.
