Transfer Transition & Engagement (TTE) at UNC Pembroke serves and supports transfer students at all stages of their academic journey. With one of the largest transfer student populations in the UNC system, UNC Pembroke is committed to providing personalized support and resources to empower transfer students to pursue their passion and excel academically.

National Transfer Student Week 2025

Celebrate your journey, fuel your future, and connect with your BraveNation community! Each day highlights your academic, personal, and career success—through in-person and online events designed just for transfer students.


Day 1: Monday, Oct. 20 – Fuel Your Future: Breakfast & Academic Success

UC Quad Area + Jacobs Hall, Suite J (TTE)
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Kick off Transfer Week with energy and connections! Stop by the TTE Tent for a Transfer Student Welcome Breakfast (coffee, juice, and light breakfast) while meeting advisors, peer mentors, and fellow transfer students.

Transfer Credit 101 Workshops – Learn how credits transfer, how to use DegreeWorks, and plan your degree.
Drop-in “What If” Advising – Explore majors/minors and see how your credits apply.

Fuel Your Future: “What If” Advising (Virtual)
Test out DegreeWorks scenarios in live breakout rooms with advisors. Enter the raffle for UNCP swag when you participate!


Day 2: Tuesday, Oct. 21 – Brains & Balance: The Vibe Check

Student Center
11 AM – 1 PM
Compete in a Family Feud–style game show where teams test emotional intelligence and balance skills. Think fast, feel smart, and win BraveNation swag while learning about self-awareness and building strong connections.

Day 3: Wednesday, Oct. 22 – LEGO with the Library: Building Your Future

LEGO Challenge – Build your academic journey with LEGO bricks! Showcase your goals and milestones.
Library Resource Stations – Tutoring stop, research tools, and study spaces showcase.

LEGO at the Library: Virtual Tools for Online Students — Taking classes virtually? No worries! Join TTE as we explore the Mary Livermore Library! You’ll discover how to find eBooks and articles, schedule tutoring, and chat live with a librarian.


Day 4: Thursday, Oct. 23 – Career Brave: Ready, Set, Success!

Career Cab | 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Hop in and make “career stops” to polish résumés, practice elevator pitches, and explore internships & jobs.

Day 5: Friday, Oct. 24 – Transfer Takeover: Celebrating Your Success

Celebrate the end of Transfer Week with games, recognition, and giveaways!

Commit to Success Wall – Add your academic/career goals to the BraveNation banner.
Appreciation Station – Faculty, staff, & mentors write thank-you notes to transfer students.
T-Shirt & Swag Swap – Trade in an old shirt from your previous college for a new UNCP Transfer tee.
Shoot Your Shot: Advising Toss – Basketball Goal 
Fourth Quarter Finish: Degree Audit Football Toss – Learn degree audits while tossing for prizes!
