Bachelor of Science in Geo-Environmental Studies

This interdisciplinary program offers two tracks: geography and geoscience. Whether you're drawn to Earth’s physical systems or fascinated by how people interact with the planet, you’ll find a path that aligns with your passion.

Geography explores how people connect with the places they live and the natural systems that shape them. This track focuses on:

  • Human Geography: Culture, politics and planning
  • Physical Geography: Landforms, ecosystems and climate
  • Geospatial Technologies: Tools like GIS and remote sensing

You’ll study regions, analyze cultural landscapes and uncover the deep connections between communities and the Earth. Careers span urban planning, digital mapping and environmental policy, with demand growing fast in geospatial tech.

Explore Program Requirements

This track dives deep into Earth’s physical structure and the forces that shape it. Explore specialties like:

  • Environmental Geology: Natural hazards and sustainability
  • Hydrogeology: How water interacts with rocks, soil, and underground systems
  • Paleontology: Exploring ancient life through fossils.
  • Minerals & Rocks: Uncover how minerals and rocks shape our planet’s surface

You’ll gain broad scientific knowledge and field experience. These are valuable for careers in energy, water or environmental consulting.
