The Thomas College of Business and Economics' Passport to Professional Success program is a required, skill-building experience for all incoming business students. Designed to boost your resume and prepare you for the professional world, the program includes a series of activities and events that develop essential workplace skills and enhance your confidence both in and out of the classroom.

By completing the Passport program, you'll become more marketable, competitive and prepared for success in your chosen field. Progress is easily tracked through Canvas, making it simple to stay organized and up to date.

Below is a recommended roadmap to help you complete the Passport Program and make the most of your college experience. It’s designed to guide you through key activities each year, so you can build your skills and stay on track. If you have any questions or need help planning, reach out to the Passport Agent or your academic advisor — they're here to support you.

• Engagement with School of Business faculty
• Student Involvement and Leadership 

  • Study abroad information session
  • Student Involvement: Student Organization, Study Abroad, Civic or Community Service (20 hours), or Internship.
  • Verbal presentation that requires professional attire (1)
  • Career Center Resume Workshop
  • School of Business approved seminar, speaker, or presentation (1)
  • Business Etiquette Dinner
  • Professional networking event (1)
  • Professional & Center Development Institute (PCDI)
  • Career Center Mock Interview
  • Career Expo
  • Verbal presentation that requires professional attire (1)
  • University sponsored formal dinner (1)
  • School of Business approved seminar, speaker, or presentation (1)
  • Professional networking event (1)
  • Professional networking event (1)
  • Senior interview

Transfer students should combine Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior to complete the program in 2 years.

Online students do not need to come to campus to complete the activities. The activities will be reviewed and approved by the Passport Agent.
