At UNC Pembroke, the application process for online programs is identical to that of on-campus programs. These online programs are delivered by the same highly qualified faculty and hold the same accreditations as their on-campus counterparts.
Office of Online Learning
The Office of Online Learning (OOL) functions primarily as a support unit for faculty and staff to design and develop degree programs and courses. Technology-enhanced learning and quality assurance in online courses are two of our strategic areas.
Working in conjunction with various student support services, OOL assures that online students are seamlessly linked to critical learning resources and services, as well as professional development opportunities.
Resources

Online Degrees
We understand that not all learners want a traditional, in-the-classroom experience. That’s why our programs extend well beyond that. Our online programs give you more flexibility about when and where you learn. And our short-term (accelerated) online courses support those seeking career training. See what works for you.

Certificate in Online Teaching Excellence (COTE)
A program to educate faculty members about the principles behind effective online teaching and learning, the use of technology in online courses, the assessment of online courses and the accessibility of online courses.

State Authorization Compliance
UNC Pembroke is obligated to comply with other states’ laws regarding the delivery of distance education. UNC Pembroke has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).
