Institutional Animal Care

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at UNC Pembroke oversees the university’s animal care and use program and reviews protocols involving vertebrate animals to ensure that they are in compliance with federal animal and welfare regulations. The committee is also responsible for investigating animal facilities, addressing animal concerns and managing training programs involving animals used on the university campus.
