Alpha Pi Omega Sorority

Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc.

The mission of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc. is to create a strong sisterhood that will serve as a support for college women and professional women in today's society. The sisterhood shall support its members in their individual journeys towards a balanced life. The Alpha Pi Omega woman will always strive for greater scholarship, honesty, leadership, service and personal integrity. The Sorority will work to preserve our Indigenous traditions, for through celebration and practice of our cultural and spiritual heritage, we become one with each other. 
Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity

Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity

Phi Sigma Nu is the oldest and largest American Indian fraternity in the United States. Founded on February 13, 1996 at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, the Fraternity, today, has over 300 brother's and ten chapters. Our mission is to empower Native Men to collectively engage in academic, social, cultural and physical realms to promote and inspire growth in tribal families, tribal communities, the United States of America and the world at large.
Sigma Omicron Epsilon

Sigma Omicron Epsilon Sorority

Sigma Omicron Epsilon, Inc was founded on March 30th, 1997 at East Carolina University. The vision to create an organization whose principles expand the culture of Native American People and support education and unity of women was brought to light by seven motivated young women: Deidra Arlene Jacobs-Blanks, Jolena Bullard, Berna Linette Chavis, Cabrina Lynne Cummings (6-6-1999), Candance Holona Hammonds, Patrice Henderson and Una Gail Locklear. These founders respectfully represent the tribes of the Waccamaw Siouan and Lumbee. Through their vision, the organization of Sigma Omicron Epsilon, Inc. has blossomed into a visionary organization, with women upholding the founding principles throughout the state of North Carolina.

Native American Student Organization (NASO)

The purpose of the Native American Student Organization at UNCP is to promote pride in our Native American Heritage, explore economic, political and educational opportunities of Native Americans and to promote the unification of Native students on our campus. NASO strives to keep our heritage alive through activities and cultural support for all Native American students.
AISES National Conference

American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES)

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is a national nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies and careers. Founded in 1977, AISES promotes the highest standards of education and professional excellence to widen the STEM workforce and grow sector support. 
Hok Nosai

Hok Nosai

Hok Nosai is comprised of two historically Native American Greek lettered organizations. The purpose of this council is to promote and retain high standards in the campus life of Greek-letter organizations at UNCP; to promote unity and harmony between member organizations and amongst other Greek letter organizations at UNCP; to maintain a positive relationship with the administration of UNCP; to address and develop strategies of action on matters of mutual concern to the member organizations; to facilitate active involvement of member organizations in the local community and on the campus; and to promote a positive image of Greek life on the UNCP campus.
