Self-Care
Self-care is the intentional practice of taking actions that support and improve your overall health and well-being — whether emotional, social, physical, spiritual, intellectual or occupational. People often think of wellness in terms of physical health. But there are many more dimensions that contribute to overall well-being.
Physical health is our office's priority, but the other dimensions are just as important. By building your skills in physical self-care practices, you will learn to evaluate your symptoms, learn what self-treatment strategies work best and determine when to see a healthcare provider.

Sleep Hygiene
Many students underestimate the power of a good night's rest. Adequate sleep enables you to concentrate, engage throughout the day and it prevents you from getting sick. Simple changes like dimming the lights and sounds an hour before you plan to fall asleep can make a big difference in how rested you feel and how quickly you're able to fall asleep.
Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies’ created an infographic, Sleeping Well in the Digital Age to illustrate the impact of screen time on the quality of your sleep.
