Homecoming at UNCP is more than just events — it's a cherished tradition that brings together alumni, students, faculty, staff and the community to celebrate our shared heritage and BraveNation pride. From spirited competitions to heartfelt reunions, Homecoming is the perfect time to reconnect, reminisce and make new memories. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable 2026 Homecoming and join us as we bring the whole UNCP community together for a celebration like no other. Students kick off the week with a Pep Rally and a Countdown event on Wednesday, October 21. Alumni and the community join in for festivities beginning Thursday, October 22.

Moonlight Madness

Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court| Doors Open at 7:30 p.m.

One of UNCP’s most high-energy traditions, Moonlight Madness brings BraveNation together for the official tipoff to men’s and women’s basketball season. Fans will get their first look at the Braves with player introductions and on-court action, plus contests, giveaways and plenty of surprises throughout the night.

We’re rolling out the gold carpet for the Class of 1976 and earlier! Join us for the Golden Braves Society Luncheon & Ceremony, honoring 50 years of Brave pride. Alumni celebrating their golden reunion will be formally inducted and receive a commemorative lapel pin.

Hall of Fame & Alumni Awards

Join us for the 58th Annual Alumni Awards & Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony. This signature Homecoming event celebrates the legacy and impact of UNC Pembroke alumni and athletes whose achievements exemplify the spirit of BraveNation.

The Athletics Hall of Fame, established in 1980, honors players, coaches, administrators and teams whose contributions have elevated UNCP’s tradition of excellence on and off the field. In addition, the Alumni Awards will recognize distinguished graduates for their professional accomplishments, service, leadership, and early-career achievements. Together, these honors celebrate the enduring pride, excellence, and commitment that define the UNCP community.

Jones Athletic Center Parking Lot #14 | 10:30 a.m.

Tailgating at UNCP’s Homecoming is a beloved tradition. Whether you're reuniting with old classmates, showing off your grill skills or soaking in the excitement with family and friends, the tailgate zone is the place to be.

Parking spaces are $5 for alumni, the general public, and visiting fans. All tailgate spots are first-come, first-served.

Registration is required for reserved tailgate spaces.

The Braves take on the Chowan University Hawks in a can't-miss Homecoming matchup! Come early for tailgating, alumni tents and student celebrations leading up to kickoff.

GPAC | 8 p.m.

UNCP is welcoming Waka Flocka Flame to the Givens Performing Arts Center for a signature concert event. The four-time BET Hip Hop Award nominee is known for hits including the diamond-certified No Hands, which reached No. 13 on the charts and earned a BET Hip Hop Award in 2011.
